Privacy notice

Last updated [date]. How Split Right Ltd uses personal information when you use RemedyReady.

Who we are

Split Right Ltd, trading as RemedyReady, is the controller of your personal information. Company number 17351365; registered office [registered office address]; ICO registration number ZC263769. Contact: privacy@remedyready.law.

The most important point: your case stays with you

The financial and personal details you enter to build your documents are processed in your own web browser. They are kept in your browser's storage on your device and in any case file you choose to save. They are not sent to us and we cannot see them. You can remove them at any time by using “Delete my case file from this device” on the case file or by clearing your browser's data.

Uploading a Form E

You can upload a Form E (yours, or the other party's) so that the figures are read into your case file. This also happens in your own web browser:

If we add an optional service that needs a form to be sent elsewhere to be read, we will ask for your permission first and update this notice before it is available.

If you are a professional using the tool for a client: the client's details you type in stay on your device, just as they would for anyone else. Nothing about the case reaches us. You are the controller of that information; make sure you have your client's authority to use it and clear the case file (Case file > “Delete my case file from this device”) when you have finished on a shared computer.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers to run the service. They act on our instructions:

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Cookies and browser storage

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The website stores your case file in your browser's local storage so that your work is still there when you come back. This is strictly necessary to provide the service you have asked for.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, to have it transferred and to withdraw consent at any time (for example by using the unsubscribe link in any email). Contact privacy@remedyready.law.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would welcome the chance to put things right first.

Not legal advice. RemedyReady is a document-preparation tool and information service run by Split Right Ltd. We are not a law firm, we are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority or the Bar Standards Board and we do not give legal advice or act for you. Every case is different and our guidance describes the law in general terms and may contain errors or become out of date: check important points against the official source, follow the court's directions in your case and take advice on your own situation from a solicitor, a barrister instructed directly, or a free service such as Advocate, Citizens Advice or a Law Centre.
