Financial remedy · England & Wales

The court documents for the money side of separation, built from your own figures.

What a financial remedy is. A financial remedy order is the court order, or court-approved agreement, that divides money, property, pensions and other assets when a marriage or civil partnership ends. A claim for a child under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989 follows the same procedure, with its own law. A pre-nuptial, post-nuptial or separation agreement is something the court takes into account when it decides.

Who it is for. Anyone in a financial remedy case in the Family Court of England and Wales: representing yourself, helping someone as a McKenzie friend or divorce coach, or a lawyer preparing documents for clients.

I am…

Representing myself

…a litigant in person

Three questions tell you which hearing you are preparing for, what the court expects by when and the pack that covers it. After that, enter your figures once and build the documents.

Helping someone else

…a McKenzie friend or family member

Use the case file to prepare the documents with the person you are helping, on their device and the hearing guides to explain each step. The documents are filed in their name, not yours.

How it works

A library of every document the court expects, built from one case file.

RemedyReady holds the template for every application, form, essential document and bundle the Family Court expects in a financial remedy case, contested or by consent, at every stage from Form A to the final order. Start wherever you are.

1 · Start wherever you are

Enter your figures once, or upload what you have

Type your details into a single case file, or upload the Form A or Form E you have already been sent and the figures are read into it. If you already hold every document and only need the bundle, add them and build that alone.

2 · Choose what you need

One document, a hearing pack, or the whole case

Buy a single document, the pack for your next hearing, or every document from the application to the final order. Change a figure and every document updates with it, so nothing is retyped and nothing mismatches.

3 · Check, sign and file

In the form the court expects

Every document comes out in the layout the court expects, for you to check, complete and sign. No advice is given and nothing you type is stored by us: it stays on your device.
